Photography Without Borders empowers young artists through formal photography instruction in school-based settings at no cost. Students meet 2 times a week for workshops, moving from basic camera photo composition to more sophisticated techniques, as well as the occasional field trip to experience art in the city.

Participants learn that expressive writing can heal trauma and become an important tool for thriving despite obstacles. 45 % of the youth have experienced trauma and 89% of system-involved youth experienced trauma and/or abuse.
