10 Year Sabbatical Policy
After 20 years of funding programs for youth-at-risk, we see the need to make funding available for new organizations. To that end, the Sheila Fortune Foundation Board of Directors made the decision that stipulates our long time grantee recipients (10-plus years) are respectfully requested to take a two-year sabbatical from applying for funding from the Sheila Fortune Foundation beginning in 2019. Thank you for understanding.

Where are you located?

The SFF offices are located in Boulder, Colorado. We are involved with programs in Colorado, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico.

What exactly does the Sheila Fortune Foundation do?

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping abused or at-risk children pursue interests in the performing arts. We research existing programs that already operate within these parameters, and meet with the directors or coordinators of these programs to determine which ones will receive grants from the SFF. The overall goal is to reach abused or at-risk children and provide them with an opportunity to flourish and grow in their interest in performing arts, enabling them to take advantage of opportunities that would not otherwise be afforded them.

Who is eligible for grants from the Sheila Fortune Foundation?

We provide grants to programs, not to individuals. There are currently a number of programs that are specifically geared towards helping at-risk children who have both an interest as well as talent in the performing arts. We deal with these private charity programs to provide support in the form of grants to aid those children’s pursuits. Grants start at $4,000.

How do I apply for a grant?

A short form to begin the application process is available on the page titled: Grantee Application. Please contact us for the deadline date.
